What Is Boho Style?

The boho style is actually a mixture of several styles. Join the hippie, the ethnic, the bohemian, the folk, the vintage, the punk, the romantic and then you have a purposely stripped look. It is a style with a lot of attitude, which takes comfort into account. It appeared there in 2003 in England, mainly because of festivals like Glastonbury. Its characteristic is this premeditated neglect for a very informal day to day.

In the main elements of boho, we can mention pieces with fluid fabrics, long skirts, tunics, gowns, flowing dresses, bell-bottoms and shorts with high waist. On the feet, cowboy boots and flat shoes. Crochet, brown leather, suede and lace are present in the looks. Accessories include wide belts, long necklaces, large rings and fringe bags. All with some embroidery or beads, feathers and stones. The predominant colors are caramel, wine, turquoise and chocolate. The preference is always for handmade pieces - or those that look at least handmade.

As you can see, it's all coldly calculated, hahah. A very “boutique punk” style, but it is very popular due to the festivals that happen around the world. The boho style looks like a dress code to them, have you noticed? It doesn't matter if it's in Glastonbury, California, Brugge or Prag. On a daily basis, you don't have to go boho chic from head to toe: you can mix elements with something more classic and timeless, just to give that balanced.
